Since 1991, Robot Battles has been staging robotic combat competitions around the United States, with annual events currently held in Atlanta at Dragon*Con and in Chattanooga, Tennessee at Chattacon, and past events in Florida, Alabama, North Carolina and even as far west as Denver, Colorado.

Our next competition will be a "Microbattles" event featuring the Ant and Beetle weight classes in our newly modified combat arena (yes, we'll have a brand new hazard to make things even more interesting) at the Chattacon convention in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Saturday, January 21, 2012 beginning at Noon (registration at 10am).

The event will be held in the newly renovated "Track 29" building, the same location as last year. Plenty of space, plenty of parking, and plenty of mechanical mayhem. Keep up with the latest news and information on the event via the Robot Battles Yahoo Group.

Robot Battles is the second-oldest robotic combat competition in the world, and is a direct descendant of the oldest - the Critter Crunch held every year at MileHiCon in Denver, Colorado. We don't have a TV show, we don't have supermodels, and we don't have huge cash prizes. What we do have is a radio talk show host with a rather eccentric taste in stage costumes, the most involved audiences in the country, the most imaginative builders around, and the most unique stage hazards in the sport, ranging from rubber snakes to stuffed animals to soft spongy rubber ducks. You never know what to expect, so be sure to get a good seat and enjoy!
Chattacon The crowds keep growing and the competition gets tougher every year at the Robot Microbattles event at the Chattacon convention in Chattanooga, Tennessee, becomes ever more popular. Makes plans to compete at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, January 21, 2012!

DragonCon For the 23rd year in a row, we will be returning to Atlanta for the Dragon*Con convention and our largest competition of the year. Held for two days over the Labor Day Weekend of 2012, this is the one robotic event of the year you do NOT want to miss!
Robot Battles photos Gary Poole (inside joke) has a collection of Robot Battles photos he's collected over the years on his Facebook page. Gallery 1, Gallery 2, Gallery 3, Gallery 4, Gallery 5 and Gallery 6.  We are in the process of developing a Facebook presence of our own, as well.

DragoCon 2008 photos Thomas Kenney has a very nice photo gallery from the 2008 Atlanta Robot Battles event.  There is a collection of photos from both the MicroBattles and the main event.  Plus, Thomas has also posted up a few videos from the event as well.  Thanks, Thomas!
